    Fellow chairpersons, Ladies and Gentlemen, good morning.

    I am Randy Jake Baluscang the newly elected


    sk chairman of brgy Union, running for the position as Vice President of Sk Federation.

    Robert Kennedy once said and I quote, “This world demands the qualities of youth: not a time of life but
    a state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination, a predominance of courage over timidity,
    of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease.”

    First of all, I’m a little bit nervous standing here in front of you because this is an honor to speak my
    mind off, to share my thoughts and my plans with you guys. Noon pa lamang, I prayed to God to use my
    life as an instrument to advance His Kigndom, to influence someone of his good will. And God really has
    a good sense of homour,I really didn’t expect na gagamitin niya ako sa larangan na ito. Di ko rin inexpect
    na mananlo ako because I am not popular, I’m not even rich but I wanna say thank you to God and to
    the people for the support and trust you’ve given me.

    I am a simple man, a graduate of bachelor of science in civil engineering at MMSU BATAC. During my
    high school years, isa din po akong student leader, I also joined organizations at my college years. But I
    wasn’t fully focused on that matter because of the course I had taken. Now, why am I running for the
    vice president of sk federation? That’s a good question and perhaps there’s no good way to answer it.

    As I grow older and older, Lagi kong napapakinggan na ang kabataan ay di na pag-asa ng bayan. Sabi
    nila, “sabali ubbing itan, natotos dan” well, that’s quite true but not all of us ay ganun. I observed that
    the secret message communicated to most young people today by the society around them is that they
    are not needed, that the society will run itself quite nicely kahit na walang participation gang mga youth.
    Most of young people are afraid to come out to really expess their thoughts and beliefs. Yet the fact is
    that the society is not running itself nicely. We need all the energy, brains, imagination and talent that
    young people can bring to bear down on our difficulties. For society to attempt to solve its desperate
    problems without the full participation of even very young people is simpleton.
    According to Margaret Mead , “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can
    change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

    Secondly, I wanted to share some of my plans to you as the sk chairman and will improve them will my
    fellow sk kagawad. Project 1. Recognition/awards to those excellent students sa ating barangay na nag-
    aaral ng mabuti. Para lalo pa nilang galingan and mamotivate magaral. And also scholarship sa mga
    nangangailangan. Project 2. Instead of mga sports at pagents, although gagawin pa din namin yan, I
    wanted conduct seminars like basic law and ordinance, phyiscal health, depression/suicude, early
    pregnancy, bullying and effects, awareness of do’s and dont’s sa mga calamities. Project 3. As a graduate
    of civil engineerring, I can impart my knowledge regarding to structures/projects/productions of
    products/plsnning and implementation of projects. These are some of my plans. There are risks and
    costs to a program of actiaon. But they are far less than the long- range risks and costs of comfortable
    inaction.

    Lastly, Gawin po ating makabuluhan at tunay na kapaki-pakinabang ang pagpili ng tamang mga
    kandidato. Pili po tayu ng matino, di corrupt, lumalaban sa iligal na droga, tapat sa serbisyo, may
    disiplina, may alam at kakayahan sa pagplaplano, mahusay, walang kaugnayan sa masasamang tao or
    grupo, may platapormang pangkaunlaran at pangkapayapaan; huwaran at modelo ng kanyang mga
    kabarangay; sumusunod sa mga alituntunin ng pamahalaan at ng komunidad; maayos makitungo sa mga
    kabarangay at higit po sa lahat yung God-fearing na leader para po maayos na magawa ang
    serbisyo.Tandaan, nakasalalay sa mga boto niyo ang simula ng pagbabago sa inyong mga barangay.

    Again I am Randy Jake Baluscang, Sk Chairman of Brgy.Union, running for the position as Vice President
    of SK Federation. I am well aware of what this positions respomsiility. If papalarin po ako, I’ll do my best
    to render my service to our society. Thank you for listening, to God be the glory.
